Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of the website at www.shin-jidai.com (the Website), which is operated by Shin Jidai Pty Ltd (we, us or our). By using the Website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

1. About the Website

The Website tells you about Shin Jidai and our services, including HR technology advisory, project delivery, mentoring and coaching, and PeopleShared, our HR system for mission driven organisations. It is provided for general information and to help you get in touch with us.

2. General information only, not advice

(a) The content on the Website, including blog posts, guides, pricing pages and examples, is general information only. It does not take into account your organisation’s circumstances, and it is not legal, employment law, financial, tax, medical or psychological advice.

(b) HR and employment rules differ between countries and change over time. This includes Australian workplace laws and the labour law of Cambodia. Please get advice from a suitably qualified professional before you act on anything you read here.

(c) Reading the Website, using the contact form, or having a conversation with us does not create a client relationship. Our services are provided only under a written agreement with you.

(d) Mentoring and coaching are professional development services. They are not therapy, counselling or clinical care.

3. Accuracy and availability

We take care to keep the Website accurate and up to date, but we do not promise that it is complete, current or free of errors. Prices, features and availability, including those for PeopleShared, may change without notice. We do not promise that the Website will always be available or free of viruses or interruptions.

4. Intellectual property

(a) We own, or have permission to use, the content on the Website, including the text, images, videos, logos, designs and the Shin Jidai and PeopleShared names and marks.

(b) You may view the Website and print or download pages for your own personal or internal business use. You may not copy, republish, sell, adapt or use our content or marks for any other purpose without our written permission.

(c) Names, logos and stories of other organisations, such as our founding partners, remain the property of those organisations and are shown with their permission.

5. Using the Website properly

You agree not to misuse the Website. In particular, you must not try to gain unauthorised access to it or to our systems, introduce malicious code, send spam or false information through our forms, copy content using automated tools, or use it in a way that is unlawful or could harm others. Please do not send us sensitive information, such as health details or identity documents, through the contact form.

6. PeopleShared and other services

PeopleShared is provided under separate terms of service, which apply once you sign up for a trial or a paid plan. Descriptions of PeopleShared on the Website are a summary only. If there is a difference between the Website and the PeopleShared terms of service, the terms of service apply.

7. Case studies, testimonials and examples

Case studies, testimonials and examples describe the experience of particular organisations and people. They are not a promise that you will get the same results. Where we use a fictitious organisation or made up names in demonstrations and videos, we say so.

8. Links to other websites

The Website may link to websites and services run by others, including social media, partner organisations and tools. We do not control them, we do not endorse their content, and we are not responsible for them. Your use of them is at your own risk and under their own terms.

9. Limits on our responsibility

(a) To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage, including loss of profit, data or opportunity, that arises from your use of, or reliance on, the Website or its content.

(b) Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Where the law allows us to limit our responsibility to resupplying a service or paying for it to be resupplied, we may do so.

(c) This section does not limit what is agreed in a written agreement for services between you and us.

10. Privacy

We handle personal information collected through the Website in line with our Website Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms from time to time by posting a new version on the Website. The date at the end of this page shows when it was last updated. Your continued use of the Website means you accept the updated terms.
